Showcasing our ongoing commitment to the environment, the IDEXX Hamilton Laboratory and IDEXX Adelaide Laboratory have taken receipt of our first hybrid courier cars. This is an eco-friendly initiative that we are proud to be part of. New Zealanders will start seeing the new car en route as it becomes the first internal IDEXX courier car for the Waikato region. Our Adelaide customers will see these cars on the road very soon.
For our spring edition of "Down the microscope," we look at a lung aspirate from a 7-week old kitten with Dr. Elise Russell BVSc (Hons), MVS, MANCVS (Feline). She is a Veterinary Clinical Pathologist based in Melbourne.
IDEXX’s latest investment in the Hamilton laboratory is the purchase of an Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS). This new state-of-the-art technology uses high-temperature argon plasma (twice the temperature of the sun) to excite the elements, which are then measured by the mass spectrometer.
